Welcome to Lucy’s House Cleaning Service (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our residential and commercial cleaning services, including routine housekeeping, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and any related communications or online bookings.

By scheduling or receiving services from us, you (“Client,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Lucy’s House Cleaning Service offers professional cleaning for residential and commercial properties across metro Atlanta, including but not limited to Atlanta, Marietta, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Woodstock, Duluth, and Acworth, GA.

Services include:

  • Routine housekeeping
  • Deep cleaning
  • Move-in / move-out cleaning
  • Custom cleaning requests (subject to prior agreement)

We strive to deliver a meticulous, respectful, and high-quality experience with a 100% satisfaction commitment (see Section 9).

2. Booking and Scheduling

  • Appointments can be made via phone, email, or our online booking system.
  • You agree to provide accurate information, including property address, access instructions, and any special cleaning needs.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service for any lawful reason, including safety concerns or inappropriate behavior.

3. Pricing and Payment

  • Quotes: We provide free estimates. Final price may vary if the actual scope of work exceeds the initial description (e.g., excessive clutter, pet waste, biohazards).
  • Payment: Full payment is due upon completion of each service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accepted methods: Credit/debit card, cash, or electronic transfer (details provided at booking).
  • Deposits: For first-time, large, or move-in/out cleanings, a deposit (up to 50%) may be required to secure the appointment.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Free cancellation: At least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.
  • Late cancellation (less than 24 hours): A fee of 50% of the service total may be charged.
  • No-show (client not present or unable to provide access within 30 minutes of arrival): Full service fee may be charged.
  • Weather or emergencies: We will work with you to reschedule at no charge. If we cancel due to unsafe conditions, you will not be penalized.

5. Access to Property

  • You must provide safe, unobstructed access to the property (e.g., working key, garage code, lockbox combination, or be present).
  • If our team cannot enter the property at the scheduled time and you are unreachable, the visit will be treated as a no-show (see Section 4).
  • For gated communities or buildings with security, please provide gate codes, fobs, or visitor passes in advance.

6. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a safe and effective cleaning, you agree to:

  • Secure or remove valuable items, cash, jewelry, firearms, medications, and sensitive documents.
  • Inform us of any hazards (e.g., broken glass, biohazards, mold, pests, aggressive pets).
  • Ensure utilities (water, electricity, heat/air conditioning) are functional during the cleaning.
  • Keep pets in a safe area if they may interfere with cleaning or pose a risk to our team.

7. Liability and Damages

We treat your property with the utmost respect. However, accidents can occur.

  • Limitation of liability: Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific cleaning visit.
  • Damages: We will repair or compensate for any verifiable damage caused directly by our team. You must report any damage within 48 hours of service completion, along with clear photos or evidence.
  • Pre-existing conditions: We are not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing wear, improper installation, fragile items, or surfaces that are not cleaned according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Consequential damages: We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost business, emotional distress).

8. Our Right to Refuse or Stop Service

We reserve the right to stop or refuse service if:

  • The property poses a health or safety risk (e.g., mold, biohazards, aggressive animals).
  • The client is abusive, threatening, or harassing toward our staff.
  • The actual cleaning required differs substantially from what was described at booking.
    In such cases, you may be charged a trip fee (minimum $50) for time and travel.

9. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind our work with a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

  • If you are not fully satisfied with any area we cleaned, please contact us within 24 hours of service completion.
  • We will return to re-clean the specific area(s) at no additional charge, within a reasonable time frame.
  • The guarantee does not cover missed areas due to client restrictions, lack of access, or unrealistic expectations (e.g., removal of permanent stains or wear).
  • Refunds are not offered; our remedy is a re-clean.

10. No Unlawful or Prohibited Use

You agree not to request or require our team to perform any illegal activity, handle illegal substances, or enter areas where cleaning would violate any law or regulation.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government actions, power outages, or transportation disruptions.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on our website or provided upon request. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

  • Informal resolution: Most disputes can be resolved by contacting us directly. We encourage you to reach out first.
  • Arbitration: Any dispute not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Cobb County, Georgia, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Class actions and jury trials are waived.
